Ashburton Antics from Valmai
- March 2005
Hello readers,
What wonderful weather we had last month, real holiday weather and the type that quite often comes when the young folk go back to school.
However my farming friends are still behind with the harvest…some foggy days and a bit of rain here and there have kept the moisture levels up.
The activities I have written about over the past letters have gone: the Aquafest at Lake Hood was an outstanding success and many people took the opportunity to try our various water sports under tutelage of professional sports people during a supervised session.
The Rakaia salmon fishing competition was held recently with many fish caught and extensive stories told!
The mobile home Bonanza was just that - a bonanza with a great selection of all types of homes on wheels to inspect and they tell me many sales were made.
We’ve been busy with lots of people from all around the globe staying and I don’t know why we’re planning a trip to the UK when we have so many of you from the Northern Hemisphere…I can do my travel from my armchair! It’s been super meeting so many travelers and both Ken and I have enjoyed your company.
Keep coming and enjoying our hospitality
Regards,
Valmai
