Ashburton Airfield - Aviation Museum
A mixture of civil and military aircraft are on display including a DH Devon, Harvard, Yeoman Cropmaster, Vampire Jet and Porterfield and Vintage gliders also feature. An extensive model shows the airfield as it was in World War II as a training base and associated displays describe the local airmen who served there.
Winter - Mt Hutt Snow
When the air is crisp, clear and clean - view the star studded night skies, where the stars seem to touch the ground. All winter sports are enjoyed in or around Ashburton - Mt Hutt. A bus runs Ashburton-Methven for this season.
